We feel like we are being truly blessed! Although life has become really busy with working full-time for both of us plus packing to move into our first home we couldn't be more thankful. This home is such a miracle. I didn't know when I wrote the last blog that our low interest rate of 4.875% was literally locked in just during a two hour window of time. After that the rates went back up over 5%. Plus, the sellers agreed to either fix or compensate for all of the items that our inspector found of work needing to be done on the house. He said it's a really good home. He could not find a single crack in the basement walls, even though the home is 32 years old. That's almost unheard of in Colorado where the soil is basically clay.
While we feel truly blessed we both have been struggling. I had a virus and then a sinus infection. So, I'm on antibiotics. Jay has been going to a physical therapist and chiropractor for his back. And we've been putting in long hours at work. Jay has things like before school and after-school rehearsals for the musical. I've got things to do in my room since I just got 8 new students in my class. And last night I had a three hour long CPR training class. In between I've been trying to pack.
The day after tomorrow is closing day. So, I can't wait to get the keys and garage door openers. We'll start moving boxes in this coming weekend and week ahead. We'll also start painting and have others come in to do some work on the house. On the 23rd we've hired a moving company to move the bigger furniture items. And then we'll have the last week of February to come back and clean up our duplex. Wouldn't it be nice to get a call about travel dates to Thailand say late February or early March?! I can't wait to read up on some other families' stories of traveling there soon to get their kids!
