Lots of changes here for the Regan family. Finally, our summer vacation has come to an end. Well, Chandra never really gets a summer break as her preschool is open year-round. Last week Jay had his first kids at his new school in Evans (a suburb of Greeley). So, today this is his first full week of seeing all of the kids. And today was Penny's first day at Boltz Middle School. She said that she was really scared and started crying once when she was lost. But, thankfully, she has a great new English teacher for a special Newcomer Language Arts class. I knew that I left her in good hands this morning. And Grandpa and Grandma picked her up. She's been in such a good mood ever since my physical therapist had a little heart-to-heart talk with her telling her that she understood how she's feeling. This therapist was originally came from Jordan and moved to the U.S. when she was 18. She told her that she, too, had been sad and lonely, missing food and friends. But, she came here so she could be a doctor and help people. She told her that now she loves her life here and would only go back for a visit. She told Penny that she was sure that the same would be true for her, too. Boy, ever since then she's been so happy and contented. She's also openly expressing how much she loves God and Jesus. She's been praying for all of us and says that she wants to get baptized. We feel very blessed and know that God has a very special plan for this young woman.
