Hi folks! Sorry I only get around to blogging about once a month, now. I never realized that I would be so busy as a new mom of a teenage daughter. It takes alot of adjustment to becoming a family of three no matter what the age of your child, I guess. It's hard, too, when you're having to adjust to a new job. That is what Jay has been doing and now Chandra will likely need to do, as well, since her company keeps cutting her hours. But, meanwhile, we're trying to keep our chins up and do a few fun things. Penny got in on her first Colorado Rockies baseball game in Denver. We also took a little family vacation for the Labor Day weekend down to Colorado Springs. We took in the zoo and the Garden of the Gods. We enjoyed seeing hot air balloons and a few trees starting to show Fall colors in the mountains on our drive home. Penny has been adjusting well to her new life as a Regan and becoming a Middle School student. But, she caught her first cold and has been battling a fever for four days now. Although, she's moping, I think she's secretly enjoying the extra TLC that she didn't get when she lived in the orphanage. Did I mention that the other night she silently pierced her own ears a second time by herself? This girl has spunk! I just hope she doesn't try more dangerous things while Mom and Dad are asleep. Also, we got back our family photos and they are just stunning! I'll have to share a few later. Here are some recent pictures from our family outings.
