Since my last bout of illness we've had some much more fun times. We went over to my Korean friends' house. We had a great time watching their daughter planning with Penny. The little girl kept chasing the big girl everywhere, saying, "Where are you?" Then we had my (Chandra's) birthday celebration at a new Japanese restaurant in Ft. Collins. Turns out that Penny loves my new birthday gift of a Rascal Flatts CD. Penny's parent teacher conferences went well. All of the teachers feel she is making a lot of good progress in English, in Math and in learning new social graces. She had her first sleepover at our house on Friday. Her friend, Abby, got adopted from China at almost the same time as Penny. The girls are the same age and in the same grade at school. So glad they each have someone who has been through such similar experiences. Now Penny is talking about having more sleepovers. The good part about it for Mom was that she decided she really wanted to help clean the house. I even got the girls talked into helping me rake some leaves, too. We're a bit behind on that. Just a little preoccupied this past year when all of the leaves starting falling. Only finished the front yard before the snow started falling.

LOVE reading about your family! Such an awesome blessing to have a friend that has been through much of the same thing. That is SO God's work :).
Looks like a lot of fun! I love how Penny poses with her cat in nearly every pic you post! :) So sweet!
