Pumpkins, Practices, Part-time Jobs and Peace

This Fall we've been blessed that Jay got another part-time job to add to his other part-time job which will help out Chandra's part-time job. Although things are tight we always have enough. God is good to take care of his children. It's so good being adopted into His family. Penny is feeling more and more secure with her place in our family and in her heavenly Father's big family, too. She's been busy with homework and practices for the church musical. She had a concert last Thursday for her orchestra. We're so proud of her. She's been doing so well in school, getting all A's and B's again this quarter. Lately, she's been talking about her dream to someday become an English teacher back in her hometown of Udon Thani. We will certainly support her in her dreams although it'll be sad to think of her so far away. But, we must keep in mind that our kids are just on loan to us for a short time. They really belong to God and He has a plan for them as a part of his bigger purpose. We can't latch on with tight fists. We must offer everything about ourselves and our families up to the Lord as living offerings to Him.

We've also been busy with all of the fun usual stuff associated with this Fall season. We had a great pumpkin harvest, which we were able to share with our neighbors. We had fun carving pumpkins to look like Mickey and Minnie. I helped Penny make a Minnie Mouse ghost costume. We got our inspiration from the popcorn container I got as my souvenir from Disneyland. And we finally got our basement remodel done after the water damage that occurred back in September. So, I've been thoroughly enjoying being able to do laundry again in the comfort of my own home. Thank you God for your many blessings!
