This year we did something different. We went to a parade up in the little town of Wellington, where Jay works at a Credit Union. It definitely had a small town feel. There were not any bands marching in this parade. Mostly cars and horses. At first Penny seemed disappointed, but it was not like the parades in Udon with their beautiful dancers and musicians. But, when she discovered that they throw candy at American parades she got much more into it. Fortunately, we found a shady place to stand, since it was well on it's way up to our high that day of 100. Then in the evening we drove to another small town of Windsor to watch fireworks. We found a great parking space next to a park with a little hill where we sat and had a great view. Wonderful day! So thankful and glad for the freedoms that we are privileged to enjoy in this country!

Your parade looked like ours...lots of tractors and horses. But I have to say, I've never seen a pink John Deere!
