Bang & Crunch!

Our 4th of July was definitely one to remember. The day before we had a great time going fishing at a little lake in the mountains. We caught two fish, rainbow trout, which we ate for dinner. Then at about 10 o'clock that night I fell down our stairs landing on my ankle with my foot twisted to the side. Crunch! Not good! Thankfully, my husband knows First Aid. The next morning our daughter is in tears that her first 4th of July in America is ruined and we go to Urgent Care. The good news was that there were no fractures, just a bad sprain. And thankfully, my mother-in-law had had a pair of crutches I could borrow. So, with crutches, my new air cast and ibuprofen I was able to make it to the Fireworks display in our neighboring town of Loveland, CO that night. Penny was thrilled. This was her first live fireworks to witness. She squealed with delight like a little kid and kept saying "Yee-haw!" It was so much fun. And here's a movie from her first fishing trip.
