Celebrating Penny's Birthday!

We had so much fun celebrating Penny's birthday today!

 I can't believe our "little girl" just turned 22!  It seems like yesterday we first met this tiny little 13 year old when she became a part of our family.  We are truly blessed with her as our daughter.  She picked a very fun, new place to go for this birthday.  She enjoyed it so much that she already announced that she would like to go again for her birthday next year.  It was a Korean BBQ place where you cook the food at your own table.  We ate at a similar place when we first met as a family in Bangkok.  Here we are in December 2008 when Penny was 13.

 

And here we are today, Jun. 3rd, 2017 when she's 22.

And in Japan Chandra had eaten at similar type of restaurants, but without the spicy Korean food.  We were concerned that Grandma wouldn't enjoy it.  But, she ended up being so fascinated with this new cultural experience that she loved it!  The most unusual thing for all of us was using a big pair of scissors to cut our meat.

We loved this restaurant and would highly recommend it.  It's just a little expensive, but a very special place fir a special occasion.  And it's very close to our house!  We would definitely go again!

After that we stopped at Cold Stone Creamery to pick up the cake that Mom had ordered Penny for her birthday and then headed home for her party.

Here she is with one of her gifts that she got, a new dress.  A beautiful dress for such a beautiful person, both inside and out!
