October-Nov. 2017

Catching up since our last post.  It's been a busy fall with Penny commuting to her university everyday and Jay and Chandra both working full-time.  But, we did manage to take a drive up to the mountains in October.

We ate at a yummy restaurant, called "Sharky's".

Jay also showed us around a camp where he once attended a men's retreat.

We enjoyed the fall foliage.

We also drove by Lake Granby,

and enjoyed the beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park.

We were enjoying taking pictures of elk in Estes Park...

...when this bull elk got a little too close for comfort.  He almost went through the open window on Chandra's side of the car!

We've been trying to have a good sense of humor during these busy days when Chandra doesn't get home from work until about 6:30 pm every weekday.

She's been enjoying using her creative gifts to make fun things for both her preschoolers and her family for Thanksgiving.

She especially enjoyed hosting the Thanksgiving dinner this year.

It was especially fun to have both Jay's mom and Chandra's parents and brother stay over for the Thanksgiving holiday.  This was Chandra's first longer holiday break from her new preschool teaching job.

We enjoyed taking some walks at parks and a drive up to Red Rocks Amphitheater,  since the weather was so warm.

Hoping you and yours had a blessed Thanksgiving holiday, too, and will sense God's presence in a special way during this Advent/Christmas season.
