Christmas and other celebrating 2017

We are hoping that this will be a year when we can enjoy better health, as we were all very sick during the Christmas holiday.  It was a good thing that we did our Christmas decorating right after Thanksgiving, since Chandra started getting sick on Dec. 4th.  Here are our Christmas decorations....

Thankfully, Chandra had two weeks off from her job, which she spent mostly in bed recovering from a nasty virus.  But, we were able to go out and enjoy a special night remembering 9 years since we first met our lovely daughter, Penny.  We celebrated by going to an Asian restaurant, which interestingly enough, is named "Woody's Wings and Things".

Fortunately, Chandra was feeling a little better on the Saturday night of Jay's Cherry Creek Chorale Christmas concert.  It was amazing and inspiring.  Such beautiful music!

Penny and Jay's mother went to the Friday night performance, while Chandra stayed home not feeling very well.  Just a couple days before Christmas Chandra finally woke up with enough energy to finally get out of bed and actually wrap some presents and even to do some last minute Christmas shopping.

Sadly, she passed her virus along to Penny and finally to Jay.  So, here's what our Christmas looked like...

We were able to open some gifts.  But, that was about all we had energy for.  We missed out on going to any Christmas eve services at church or meeting up with any relatives.  So, surely 2018 will be much brighter than the end of 2017 was for the Regan family.
